Must be funky, funky Friday again, ’cause here comes another handful of the movin’, groovin’ music for y’all.

Back we go, once again, to the ’70s. Troglodyte (Cave Man), by The Jimmy Castor Bunch, borders on being a novelty tune. Borders, I said, just borders, being something of an amateur connoisseur of the genre. But you can make up your own minds on this matter… just let the gritty groove into your souls once or twice, and ain’t nothin’ gonna be the same again. There’s more than one reason the Troglodyte (Cave Man) spent time at #6 on the U.S. charts…

Got two offerings to serve up, and a bonus third one (the “sequel” to Troglodyte (Cave Man)), and that’s Luther The Anthropoid (Ape Man), heh.

First, just a link to the YouTube video, since the sound quality is, frankly, shit. But it’s link-worthy for one simple reason: the troglodyte is a midget with mustache, cigar, and attitude. ‘Nuff said, yo. Now for the real deal…
